About My Clients
I work with adults, teens, couples, and families across Texas — Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Fort Worth, and everywhere in between. My clients are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, grief, identity questions, parenting stress, and relationships stuck in the same loop. Many are BIPOC, immigrants, or first-generation Americans. Many aren't. What they share is wanting a therapist who listens carefully and doesn't push a one-size approach.
My Background and Approach
Before training as a therapist in the U.S., I spent over ten years in nonprofit mental health work in — education, training, and advocacy for people whose pain went unspoken. I hold an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University (with distinction). I draw from CBT, ACT, EFT, attachment-based therapy, and psychodynamic work, choosing what fits you. Trauma-informed means we move at your pace. Culturally responsive means your context matters when it needs to.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Healing rarely looks like the version on TV. Real progress is usually quieter — sleeping better, fighting cleaner, catching the spiral before it eats the day, feeling more like yourself. Therapy works best when you don't have to perform. You can show up tired, unsure, halfway through a hard week. We start where you are. I came to this work because I needed it myself, and I stay because of what shifts when someone finally feels heard. Cash pay; sliding scale available — please ask.
