About My Clients
I work with individuals ages 14 and up. Some populations that I have an affinity for include: people of the global majority/BIPOC folks, transracial adopted persons/adoptees, neurodivergent individuals, disabled individuals, and parents/caregivers. I help people who may be struggling with symptoms associated with PTSD, trauma, anxiety, relational challenges (both with themselves and others), depression, and grief.
My Background and Approach
I obtained my Master of Social Work in 2016 from the University of Southern California. I have had the opportunity to work in public child welfare, community mental health, and agency settings. While I firmly believe that no intervention replaces the power of an attuned therapeutic relationship, I do love learning! I completed my EMDR training in December 2025. I also pull from IFS, CBT, DBT, and somatic practices. My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and client-centered.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I consider intersectionality and how marginalized identities and groups face challenges both historically and in our present moment. As an ally, witness, and story holder, my specialization in cultural and systemic oppression work comes from lived experience as well as an intentional journey of decolonizing my practice. Practically speaking, that looks like a non-carceral approach to care and crisis. It also looks like healing in a framework that includes community, ancestral relationships, consideration of the wisdom and gifts of the natural world, and pushback against the medical model and practices grounded in capitalism.
