About My Clients
My passion lies in working with individuals who are experiencing issues with OCD, emotion regulation, addiction, chronic pain or illness, trauma, their sexual or gender identity, maintaining healthy relationships, or life transitions. I also work with individuals who simply want to learn how to more effectively achieve their goals and live the life they desire. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and am open to working with both teens and adults.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate, Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate, and a Nationally Certified Counselor. My approach utilizes different evidenced-based therapies and techniques that build on your strengths and help you better cope with life's challenges. Some of my favorites are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Also, I will often incorporate value-based work, skill-building, mindfulness techniques, and body-based practices into sessions. Above all, I place a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship and feel as though creating a calming & collaborative environment is the foundation of the healing process. It is my goal to ensure that each client feels safe, supported, and understood.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone has the innate capacity to be the person that they know they are on the inside. It is my hope that you and I can work together to pull that person out of you so that you're able to gets consistently act in a way that better serves your values, achieve your goals, and live a life that is full of richness and meaning.
