About My Clients
My aim is to help folks develop an integrated, true, & unshackled sense of self. I specialize in gender & sexuality, identity issues, trauma healing, and acculturation stress. I have experience working with young, middle-aged & older adults. I believe that unhappiness does not have to be terminal and that all folks can heal & grow to build meaningful lives.
My Background and Approach
I use my intersectional identity as a queer immigrant of color to create an inclusive space for the clients I serve. I am competent in helping folks navigate the entanglements and beauty of sexuality, gender, spirituality, race, culture, and integration. My goal is to help you feel liberated in your body, unashamedly free, and excited for the future. I believe in the therapeutic process as being relational, collaborative & tailormade to your needs, where we explore your inner world without judgment & with curiosity. We do this, in the safety of a compassionate & authentic therapeutic relationship, where we can awaken and embolden your innate capabilities for growth & wisdom. I am a certified clinical trauma professional and am also certified in the implementation of evidenced-based practices with individuals suffering from severe and persistent mental illness. I have also completed certification trainings in DBT, CBT, MI, ACT, and IPT.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am warm, compassionate, and always practice with humility. I use an amalgamation of talk therapy, humor, and integrative mind-body techniques to help folks navigate lifes often daunting challenges with courage & bravery.
