About My Clients
If you are reading this, you have already taken the first step. How are you feeling? Nervous, relieved, excited, anxious, helpless, overwhelmed, eager, all the above? When you decided to seek therapy, you moved yourself out of your comfort zone into your courage zone and that can be scary. Although you may be feeling both undesirable and desirable emotions at this moment, I consider you here as an act of bravery, and I admire your willingness to move toward this 2.0 version of yourself.
My Background and Approach
As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, I bring a unique approach to my clinical work, empathizing with vulnerability as a key aspect, complemented by a strong sense of empathy and curiosity. I have a deep passion for the therapeutic process and a firm believer in the transformative power of change. I specialize in the following: Eating Disorders – Do you know someone or are you someone who has an unhealthy relationship with food? Treatment includes the following elements: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as Acceptance Commitment Therapy. These approaches are aimed at understanding the roots of one's eating disorder. Perinatal Concerns-- Whether preconception, pregnancy, infertility, miscarriage, or postpartum; your maternal moments matter. Since the beginning of time, birthing folks as well as additional caregivers/parents have struggled with understanding the emotional conflicts that come with parenthood.
