About My Clients

Praha believes in building a healing space for clients where safety, warmth, and mutual respect are foundational in clients’ flourishing. She feels strongly about working with folks who want to go deeper into the roots of their emotions. Praha wants her clients to feel held and seen while also gaining valuable coping skills for life.

My Background and Approach

Praha received a Master's of Social Work from Columbia University's School of Social Work, as well as her Bachelor's of Social Work from New York University's Silver School of Social Work. Previously, she has worked with survivors of crime, patients and families experiencing cancer, and in community mental health. She has experience working with older adults, young adults, couples, and adolescents. Praha utilizes a person-centered and strength-based approach alongside modalities such as cognitive-behavioral, narrative-based, and solution-focused therapies. As a client, please bring your willingness and curiosity to tap into your identity, culture, vulnerabilities, and intergenerational trauma. Praha is passionate about utilizing these modalities to explore insights, deepen self-trust, and enhance mindfulness.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Praha practices therapy with an anti-oppressive and affirming lens. She believes in the liberatory and transformational power of therapy through allowing you to connect with your deepest emotions. Power is integral to people, and therapy is an effective tool to understand and harness your own power.
