About My Clients
Using a person-centered, eclectic and cross-cultural perspective when working with clients, I understand each individual and each experience is unique. I provide a warm, non-judgmental, and safe space for clients to share their most innermost struggles. I am interested in empowering clients by helping them process their emotions, identify their strengths, and learn new healthy coping techniques to help them overcome their stressors and traumas.
My Background and Approach
I earned my masters in social work at the Silberman School of Social Work in New York. I have worked with both adolescents and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, and trauma. My passion is helping survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence find their voice and reclaim their lives. I worked as a sexual assault advocate/counselor for two years at Wayne County SAFE in Detroit, MI. I have also provided therapy to individuals with depression and anxiety at The Guidance Center. I also have extensive experience in helping clients work on communication, interpersonal relationships, social anxiety, grief/loss, academics, job stress, and more. I am an ally and here to provide a safe space to help you share your journey in life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a women of color, I had to face my own struggles with discrimination and challenges of being able to be seen and heard. I have managed my own mental health to be able to focus on my goals and make efforts to constantly grow and achieve my dreams. I am an ally and advocate for all individuals and do not discriminate against your beliefs or lifestyle. I want you to be able to also feel seen and heard.
