My Background and Approach
As the founder of Manas Cor Psych, I bring an array of experiences and expertise to my practice. With a strong background in psychology, my training and research have shaped my approach to mental wellness. I received my doctorate from the University of Virginia, and am currently affiliated with the Clinical Psychology PhD training program at The George Washington University as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychology. My desire to start a boutique private practice geared toward a balanced perspective for mental health support and diversity inspired the name Manas Cor. Manas is Sanskrit for “mind” and Cor is Latin for “heart.” These are both are nods to my identities as a South Asian American woman and a clinical psychologist who uses evidence-based practices in my clinical work. Collaboration and teaching is a strong passion of mine and is a cornerstone of Manas Cor Psych’s mission. Our primary goal is always to provide quality clinical care with empathy and warmth.
