About My Clients

What if there was a better way to manage your difficult emotions and thoughts? Or, receive help when you feel stuck, and emotionally overwhelmed. Maybe, you are experiencing immense pain from your previous experiences of a hurtful traumatic experience. Perhaps, you are recovering from the death of a loved one? Let me be that person to help you in your healing process. I treat adults with anxiety, depression, trauma, loss, life transitions, ADHD, and relational issues.

My Background and Approach

I completed my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Ball State University in 2019. I am the founder of Psychology and Beyond, LLC. I have over 10 years of psychotherapy experience in a variety of settings, including college counseling centers, disability centers, and community mental health both in the U.S. and India. My clinical approach includes exploring your beliefs, thoughts, and feelings, along with both current and early relationships. I incorporate a diverse set of treatment interventions that are tailored to each client. With my gently direct but supportive style, I will encourage you to examine alternative ways of thinking that align with your values and will support you in your efforts to maintain the change you achieve in therapy. I work from an integrated Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy approach nested within a multicultural lens.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My philosophy for client change involves creating a trusting and harmonious therapeutic relationship that fosters a collaborative and mellifluous melody conducive to receptivity and change. Just as choirmaster requires all the musicians to be collaboratively involved in producing a symphony, similarly, I believe that an integrated and intentional approach to therapy is required. I enjoy the use of metaphors in my clinical work. I adopt an integrated Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy approach nested within a multicultural lens. Often times, I am humbled by my experiences as a clinician because as much as I believe that my compositions impact individuals and society, the music ultimately touches my life as well. Most importantly, I strive to modify treatments in a systematic manner so that the culture and context of diverse groups are considered. I am a spiritual, gender, and sexuality affirmative psychologist. I hope we get a chance to work together.
