About My Clients
I am Vietnamese bilingual psychotherapist who would like to bring therapy to people who feel therapy is only accessible to just the few. I have been a post-licensed therapist for more than 17 years. I am particularly passionate about offering services to people experiencing marginalization.I have dedicated my career to empower and enhance the voice and strength of the culturally, ethnically and linguistically diverse communities.
My Background and Approach
I have been trained in psychodynamic approaches, objects-relations theory, cognitive behavioral therapy approaches and use mindfulness as an integral part of of work with clients. I have a Masters in Clinical Psychology from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor in General Psychology from University of California, Irvine. I am fully committed to listen and offer my best professional practices to help you. I use humor and compassion to provide some reprieve from personal pain and offer honesty to dispel personal inaccurate myths. You can count on my empathetic and person-centered approach towards every conversation we take part on. Thank you for taking the first step and for allowing me to be part of this very important journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we as mental health providers cannot neglect the intersectional impacts on mental health. I am interested in exploring and introducing the inherent powers of cultures to heal the individual, families and communities.
