About My Clients
My ideal clients are athletes who look unstoppable on the field but struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, or self-worth off it. I work with BIPOC athletes navigating predominantly white sports, college students managing academic pressure, teens who "don't want to be there," and formerly incarcerated youth. You might be facing a major transition, carrying family expectations, or wondering who you are beyond your sport.
My Background and Approach
As a dual-licensed therapist (Texas LPC #100385, Indiana LMHC #39005268A) with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southeastern Louisiana University, I specialize in sports performance psychology and mental health support for athletes, BIPOC individuals, and teens. As a former athlete who competed in a predominantly white sport, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to understanding the unique pressures of being "the only one" while trying to perform at your best.I'm trained in Brainspotting Phase 1 and offer flexible therapy formats including traditional sessions, walk-and-talk therapy, and on-site sessions at courts, fields, or gyms. My approach is collaborative, direct, and compassionate—no sugar-coating, no generic advice. I work with pro athletes, NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA competitors, coaches, college students, teens 14+, and formerly incarcerated youth and their families.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe you don't have to explain what it's like to be the only Black player on your team or justify why family expectations feel overwhelming—your experience is already valid here. I'm passionate about creating accessible mental health support for BIPOC communities, athletes, and young people who've been underserved by traditional therapy models. As a former athlete, I understand that your identity isn't just about what you do on the field—it's about who you are when the game is over, when the pressure mounts, and when everyone expects you to stay quiet and perform. I believe in real talk therapy that challenges you, supports you, and meets you exactly where you are.
