About My Clients
I am passionate about working with children, youth, and their families because I believe that developing brains deserve the space to be themselves without the pressure to think or feel like adults. Young people experience the world in wonderfully unique ways, and I’m dedicated to translating complex emotional challenges into language that makes sense for them. Whether navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, or simply figuring out who they are, my goal is to offer a helping hand and a safe space.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach is rooted in Narrative Therapy, which empowers young people to separate themselves from their challenging thoughts, allowing them to see their stories from a fresh perspective. I love using creative techniques, like drawing, role play, games and other expressive methods, to help children and teens visualize and reframe their experiences. This creative spin not only makes therapy engaging but also encourages youth to think outside the box while building emotional resilience. This approach works beautifully with neurodiverse minds, who often thrive with imaginative, flexible ways of learning and growing. Additionally, my background in Family Systems Therapy allows me to understand each child’s unique place within their family and social circles, recognizing that no one exists in isolation, especially not young people. By understanding their world at home, school, and with peers, I strive to provide support that resonates with their everyday experiences.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe the foundation of effective therapy lies in truly listening — listening to a young person’s worries, passions, and everything in between. I work hard to create a space where children and adolescents feel heard and understood, where they can share freely without fear of judgment. Whether through play, art, or simply talking, I adapt each session to meet the individual needs of my clients, making therapy a space they can truly call their own. By balancing empathy, creativity, and genuine curiosity, I strive to build strong, trusting relationships where youth feel safe to explore their feelings, celebrate their neurodiversity if that’s part of who they are, and discover their unique strengths.
