I obtained experience through working with a domestic violence shelter and specialized trainings in the treatment of PTSD: EMDR, Expressive Arts, Mindbody techniques, and Dancing Mindfulness.

Through specialized trainings on trauma (EMDR, Expressive Arts, Mindbody techniques, and Dancing Mindfulness), I've obtained knowledge on the treatment of dissociative disorders. I am also active with the Healing Together conference for Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID).

My training and internships occurred at inpatient substance abuse facilities and I continued to work with substance abuse within these facilities from 2016-2019. Over the years, and through specialized training, I've come to find that trauma and addiction go hand in hand,

I received EMDR training in 2015 and have completed both basic parts with the required consultations. Since then, I continue to attend EMDR focused trainings.

I am a Registered Expressive Art Therapist through IEATA (the International Expressive Art Therapy Association). Through this rigorous training program, I have learned how to weave expressive arts into EMDR and somatic therapies.

Trauma is trapped within the body due to the brain's overwhelm during traumas. Body based therapies assist with the healing of these traumas within the body. To facilitate this healing, I've obtained certification as a Dancing Mindfulness Facilitator, Registered Expressive Art Therapist, EMDR, and specialized training in Mindbody therapies.
