My Background and Approach
CBT tools for anxiety and depression are the leading edge techniques in counseling treatment. For the past 10 years I have taught these CBT tools to many clients just like you. Let's create a plan together to help you learn these tools and exercises that can bring you relief. In our first session we'll start with what's going on for you right now, as well as important historical info., to make an assessment and our plan of action. In the following sessions you will learn to identify thoughts and triggers connected to your symptoms and the CBT tools to help you reduce them. As you increase your insight into your situation you will gain knowledge in managing your triggers and symptoms with these tools and gain resilience and the strength to take back your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My belief is that each and everyone of us can change and grow at any time in our lives. We can gain insight about the mental illness, learn new ways of thinking and adapt our behaviors to help ourselves heal and feel better. I also am a strong supporter of the National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI), which is a wonderful organization to help people understand mental illness for themselves, or on how to give and receive support when it is about a loved one dealing with the illness.
