About My Clients
I am here for my community. I specialize in queer-affirming psychotherapy. I love working with artists and creative types, movers & shakers, big thinkers, deep dreamers and people who care about making a positive impact on the world. I primarily do individual work with people ages 15 and up.
My Background and Approach
I’ve always been an observer, noticing things before others do, or catching what others can’t see. With 10 years of experience–from case management to research–I am well-equipped to support various needs and issues. My openness and desire for connecting with others is what I find most enriching in my work. Getting to be with people when they need someone the most. Helping a person get unstuck. Shifting someone from living their life in fear to imagining more for themselves. I am trained in psychodynamic theories, which I integrate with other modalities that attune to the body and are trauma-informed. There’s no end goal of perfection. If I could flip a switch I would. Otherwise we’ll work together for as long or as little as you feel necessary.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In a world so full of pain I believe healing is possible and that joy is necessary. I believe finding deeper meaning within oneself, and one’s communities, is vital for continuing to find purpose and feel connected. Who are we without each other? I’m passionate about helping people heal from their wounds to develop more nourishing and mutual relationships while trying to build the communities we seek to have. Nothing, and no one, is perfect and I aim to help us find acceptance and hope in this.
