About My Clients
Therapy takes a lot of courage. I’m so glad you’re interested in making the step. It’s my goal to create a safe-enough space that we can dive into the depth of your humanity and help you understand more deeply how you relate to yourself and others. I work with a variety of needs, but I’m particularly focused on helping people who find themselves struggling to make connections, low self-esteem, working through their identity, life-transitions, depression, and anxiety.
My Background and Approach
My role is not to be an expert in the relationship but an understanding companion on the journey. I pay close attention to what you share, how you relate to yourself and to me, and what unfolds between us in the room. Over time, this relationship becomes a window into deeper aspects of who you are and how you’ve come to be. I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic, existential, attachment-based, and person-centered theories. While these may sound technical, at their core, they simply mean I’m interested in your story—where you’ve come from, how you’ve been shaped, who you are becoming, and what your relationships have meant to you. If you want to understand yourself on a deeper level and are struggling, I’d love to come along side and help you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we are formed, hurt, and healed in relationships. This occurs in our earliest relationships with our family and caregivers, the people we interact with, and the systems we are part of. Therapy offers a unique kind of relationship: one that’s grounded in safety, honesty, and the intention to heal. Therapy for me is not about “fixing” you. I’m interested in helping you integrate your experiences so that you might learn how to live healthier, more interconnected, and have more meaningful relationships with others around you. I believe in the work of therapy because of the ways that I personally have experienced it. I believe that healing takes a village. The community we are part of and our lifestyle is just as important as the therapeutic space. I believe in centering the importance of marginzalized folx. I believe in the genocide in Gaza and stand for Palestine. I also acknowledge that I practice on the unceded land of the Duwamish people.
