About My Clients

I specialize in working with ethnic minorities, immigrants, refugees, & people in the LGB community. I help you work through stigmatized issues & make lasting positive change. I have had more than 20 years of clinical experience in Taiwan and the USA. I am specialized in working with trauma issues (sexual assault), PTSD, anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationship, a family of origin issues, low self-esteem, acculturation, and immigrant issues, cultural identities, & microaggression.

My Background and Approach

I believe people are creative, spontaneous, and insightful. I view people as a whole person within the context of their family of origin, psychological state, and socio-cultural environment. Through the socialization process, we internalize the family expectation, societal values, and mainstream cultures without conscious awareness. I utilize evidence-based theories and collaborate to build a safe relationship, where you can be creative and authentic. I use insight-oriented and experiential/expressive art interventions to facilitate critical thinking in the unique context of struggles. I assist you in finding a solution, overcoming self-criticism, externalizing self-blame, enhancing relationships, & owning authority.
