I treat a diverse group of people making me sensitive to ethnicity, race, and sexual orientation. I work best with motivated psychologically minded people.
My Background and Approach
I have taken three of three training courses with the Gottmans. I utilize the Gottman approach along with emotionally focused psychotherapy. I find this approach effective with couples and individuals experiencing depression and anxiety. I also utilize yogic techniques when it is appropriate and the client is open to it.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that people have what it takes to grow and cast away ways of functioning that no longer serve. I see my role as the therapist as the guide on the side encouraging, holding space for growth, and pointing out patterns that may not be ordinarily unnoticed.
