You experience a tendency to want everything to be perfect, but this feels overwhelming and you're frustrated. Feeling at peace with yourself can sometimes feel impossible, but it doesn't have to be. Building a healthy relationship with yourself and others can happen. I'm here to support your personal growth and spiritual connection with Self.
My Background and Approach
We do this type of work by understanding in depth the pieces of your past, the narratives that run through your mind, the teachings you have consumed over time and now apply into your life. To embrace our humanity, we must untangle our inner critic. Our therapeutic space is here to help you with your self-discovery and healing. I believe that part of my mission in this lifetime is to learn how to embrace being human and detangle my own inner critic, so then I may have the opportunity to support others in unraveling their own. Being human can be messy and complex and sometimes we need support within our own healing journey — this is where I step in. I do not just focus on the mind; our bodies have deep wisdom that need to be witnessed. In fact, our bodies remember our experiences and trauma, even when our minds do not. Within my approach, I provide a safe space fueled with compassion, understanding for your story, and use a trauma-informed lens.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a Hispanic/Latina, Queer identified, and LGBTQIA+ Aware therapist. I’ve had to do my own untangling to deeply understand the roots of perfectionism and self-doubt. As I moved through life, I gained the art of shape-shifting to be loved and accepted by others. However, I then learned that although I was being loved and accepted, it was not actually me — it was a version I had molded into to fit in. This realization shifted something in me, because I realized, I no longer wanted to be a master at molding myself for others. I wanted to un-become everything I had become, to finally return to myself; whoever that could be. I believe that part of my mission in this lifetime is to simply embrace being human and detangle my own inner critic, so that I then may have the opportunity to guide others in unraveling their own, and to teach others how to apply this practice with self-compassion. You do not have to this work alone.
