The goals of psychodynamic therapy are self-awareness and understanding of the influence of the past on present behavior. I can help you gain insight into your life and present-day problems. Together we will review certain life factors such as emotions, thoughts, early life experiences, and beliefs to recognize recurring patterns and see how this may contribute to avoidance or defense mechanisms to cope. This insight can lead to significant changes in perspective and can foster profound healing.

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) focuses on distortions in thinking that can trigger emotional responses and result in dysfunctional behaviors. CPT is especially effective for post-traumatic stress. It guides you in recognizing and challenging the "thinking errors" about the event, and then uses tools and exercises to help re-conceptualize the traumatic event and identify new, healthier, more accurate ways to view the traumatic event.

Rather than focusing on a narrow problem, holistic therapy considers mental, physical, and spiritual factors that influence a person's well-being and seeks to help people heal and thrive on a deeper level. This approach combines aspects of traditional talk therapy and non-traditional approaches, including breath therapy, nutritional strategies and meditation.
