My Background and Approach
Art therapy can be a refreshing alternative to therapy as usual. I’ve been a practicing therapist since 2014, using both talk therapy and art therapy. I’ve worked and volunteered in many settings, from hospice to domestic violence support, from addiction recovery to working with veterans. Through this work, I know deeply that we all have the capacity to heal and grow. I currently offer art therapy and counseling through Creative Nature NC, weaving art therapy and nature based therapy to assist you in reconnecting to your own wisdom and creativity.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My own path began to take shape when I used art to process the death of my father. I was able to heal by exploring my grief through art making. A whole world opened up when I discovered art therapy. Outside of the therapy room, I love creating art, listening to music, writing, gardening, engaging in mindfulness practices, playing outside, and adding to my unreasonably large book collection. I look forward to getting to know more about you and your unique path in this world. Wherever you got off course, let's work together to get you back on track.
