About My Clients

Many of my clients have come to me seeking safety with a provider who is eager to understand them after not having success with traditional talk-therapy in the past. My clients have experienced various forms of trauma such as domestic violence, narcissistic abuse, childhood sexual abuse and so on. I work with adults of all ages as well as teens and adolescents who struggle with self-esteem issues and negative beliefs about themselves and the world which are rooted in their childhood experiences.

My Background and Approach

I want to empower clients to advocate for their needs, confront their fears, and overcome obstacles to achieving their goals. I have worked extensively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, prioritizing culturally sensitive care that honors each client's unique experiences. My specialization is in trauma-focused therapy and holistic approaches tailored to my clients' individual needs. It is my priority to facilitate a safe, validating, and affirming environment, while equipping clients with the tools necessary to navigate life's challenges and address painful feelings like guilt and shame. As a candidate at the post-graduate Trauma Studies Program at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy, I am training in the most cutting-edge evidence-based treatments for healing trauma symptoms, including EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and Somatic Therapies.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Therapy can reconnect us with our bodies, teaching us to value our own intuition, personal wisdom, and the vulnerable parts of ourselves. As a neurodiverse clinician, my own life experiences dealing with ADHD, interpersonal trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and loss, as well as loved ones with mental health and addiction issues, have enabled me to have a deeper understanding of individuals who are dealing with some of these challenges. Through my own therapy, work, education, and passion for connecting with others, I have learned how to be more kind to myself and I want to share that wisdom with my clients.
