About My Clients
I specialize in helping active and retired professionals including doctors, advanced practice providers, nurses, attorneys, therapists and other helpers free themselves from feeling stuck. I provide brain-based experiences in therapy that are often more useful and transformational than talk therapy alone. I help clear out-of-date and inaccurate brain data so a person can think, feel and behave in ways that align with who they really are and how they want to be in their life.
My Background and Approach
I have a BS and MS in Geology, a JD in Law and a MSW in Social Work. As a psychotherapist I have training in multiple clinical approaches and for each client I integrate Emotional Pain Intervention, Trauma Informed Hypnotherapy, Rapid Resolution Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Motivational Interviewing and Internal Family Systems to provide the best experience for that individual.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that each person has both a unique set of strengths and their own set of meanings that their brain has developed and been taught to make sense of the phenomena they have encountered in their life. I believe that significant intended change is possible through therapy, whether it is incremental or quickly transformational. I believe that insight and awareness followed by actions that align with a person’s inner values creates motivation to continue acting in ways that are in their enlightened best interest and will be good to have done.
