Welcome! I specialize in working with Gay Men and LGBTQ+ Adults. I also specialize in anxiety, worry and panic. If you have been looking for an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist who understands the issues unique to our community, please feel free to reach out. My Background and Approach
I am a Therapist (LCSW) in Private Practice. I live in Phoenix, and work with clients online by video session in Arizona, Indiana and New York. I accept Aetna (employer-sponsored plans only), Cigna, Optum, Oscar, Oxford, and United (excluding AHCCCS, Medicaid and Medicare). My approach to treating anxiety, worry and panic uses a combination of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
My Values as a Therapist
In Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) we accept that some things in life are hard, but we commit to what we want to do despite life's challenges. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors. We will look at some behaviors and thinking patterns non-judgmentally, and work together to build a life that commits to your values and where you want to be. In ACT and CBT we focus mostly on the present and look at ways of managing worry and anxiety better. I look forward to connecting with you!
