I grew up where love meant screaming & silence. That pain made me a better therapist. I teach couples how to fight less & feel closer.

About My Clients

Do you feel unheard in your relationship? Like no matter what you say, nothing changes? Maybe fights happen too often. Maybe silence does. Either way, it hurts. But here's the truth — most couples aren't broken. They're stuck in old habits learned long before they met. Habits can change. I've watched couples go from cold and distant to warm and close. That could be you. And the ripple effect is real. When a relationship heals, everything gets better — your health, focus, kids and joy.

My Background and Approach

I use proven tools to help couples figure out exactly where things went wrong. The Gottman assessment is one of them. It helps us find the communication patterns that are quietly doing the most damage. Other assessments show us where you're strong and where you need support. With 20+ years helping couples heal, I know one thing for sure — most couples don't need to start over. They need a new way forward. With a clear picture of what's actually going wrong you have a path to move forward. My goal isn't to take you back to the early days. It's to help you build a relationship better than anything you've had before. Deeper. Stronger. Real. If you're both willing to show up, I'll show you how to get there. Paul since 1991, has trained in modalities such as Developmental Model, Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Relational Life Therapy (RLT), Imago Therapy, and Rapid Transformational Therapy. Paul works with couples seeking a deeper connection and lasting change.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

When I'm not in session, you'll find me in my garden, hiking a trail, or sitting quietly in meditation. Nature fills me up. So does music — I played trombone from 5th grade all the way through college, and right now I'm learning piano with guitar next on the list. I'm an Eagle Scout and a former UGA Redcoat. I travel with my husband and come home to two rescue dogs who remind me every day that love doesn't need words. I serve on the board of Gay Spirit Visions — an organization that nurtures the spiritual lives of LGBTQ+ people. That work matters deeply to me. I believe growth lives just outside your comfort zone. I've tested that belief in my own life, and I bring it into every session. My mission is simple: help you find your way back to each other. If you're ready to take that step, I'll meet you there — with honesty, care, and a whole lot of heart."
