My Background and Approach
I believe that therapy is a radical process that hinges entirely on the trust we establish and voluntarily commit to. When else do we get to slow down for an hour and have the opportunity to practice being vulnerable with ourself, let alone a stranger? Despite the sufferings and stressors plaguing our lives, I believe your inner world holds a beautiful hearth that longs to center you and call you home. Over the course of therapy, I believe we will cultivate a practice of trusting this to be true and a place that can be accessed more easily and readily throughout your day to day life. I trust that what brought you here matters, I trust that change is possible, and I trust that we will make great strides in this work together. My frame of reference is driven by the importance of relationship while also utilizing the wisdom of the body, mind, and spirit to inform us of our best approach to holistic wellbeing. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Many of us feel the constraints of living in the modern era along with the existential and practical toll this can have on our day to day lives. I strongly affirm the interconnectedness of all living beings, that our struggles are both personal and collective. The impact of therapy can have great ripple effects not just on one life, but the health of our families, relationships, communities, and culture at large. As a White, able-bodied, and male practitioner, I recognize my areas of privilege and inherent differences in lived experiences. I strive to practice with an open mindset that is culturally sensitive and anti-oppressive. I strive to be a provider who uses my position to empower others, to advocate when systems do not serve us, and to continuously learn/unlearn for the betterment of our collective liberation and growth as a community.
