About My Clients
I specialize in helping people work through feelings of insecurity in order to feel safe, soothed, seen, and secure. Struggles with jealousy, envy, and social comparison, perfectionism; inadequacy; being a social chameleon or feeling like you don't have a sense of identity; fear of rejection or abandonment; self-sabotage; and hiding parts of yourself from others are hallmark behaviors that stem from feeling insecure. This is the path to deeper connections and more fulfillment in your life.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is examine the most critical relationships in your past that molded the foundation for how you show up for people in your life today. Understanding how and why you attach to people (or don't) in specific ways will help us to work through the behaviors that occur in your present relationships that might be making it difficult for you to feel a strong sense of connection with yourself and the most important people in your life. My style of therapy is conversational and non-judgmental, and highly dependent upon having a positive relationship between myself and you, the client. It is my aim to model and teach the skills of reflection, empathy, and self-compassion.
