About My Clients

I’m looking to work with those wanting and ready to make change. I’m particularly passionate about working with trauma.

My Background and Approach

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with experience working with all types of issues in adults, 18 and older. I specialize in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a newer treatment modality which pushes people out of their comfort zone, and onto living a valued life. The premise of ACT is that people are most at peace when they are living life in accordance to their values and the things they hold important. I can work with you to identify your values, and the actions needed to be doing what matters most to you, all while carrying negative emotions and thoughts. I also have training and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy and a few other modalities.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Many of my personal beliefs are attributed to my strong feminist outlook, which I know informs the way I provide therapy. I’m a strong supporter of the LGBTQ community and the Black Lives Matter movement. I’m also involved in environmental causes and I myself am vegan.
