About My Clients
I treat a wide variety of issues, though I primarily serve adults with a history of trauma wanting to manage anxiety symptoms and improve overall wellness with a whole-person approach. I have a lot of experience with helping folks through narcissistic abuse and unpacking childhood trauma in adulthood. I also treat couples working through challenges with communication and trust.
My Background and Approach
I consider myself to be a caring, down-to-earth and thoughtful counselor who is best equipped to serve clients who are striving to understand themselves better, who are seeking deeper meaning in life and who want to liberate themselves from dysfunctional living. My main focuses with clients have included treating anxiety disorders, trauma & other issues such as self-esteem and life transitions. I am trained in EMDR (an evidence based modality for processing trauma in the brain and body) and utilize CBT, DBT, REBT, reality therapy, existential therapy and mindfulness very regularly in sessions as well.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we are all capable as humans to heal and influence our lives beyond our greatest imaginations! I also believe that while transformation can feel heavy at times, it can also be fun, interesting and more cathartic than many know. I am pro BLM/racial justice allied, LGBT+ and body positivity.
