About My Clients
Are you anxious, depressed, and/or struggling to cope with daily life? Are you the main caregiver in your family and feel as though everyone comes to you for help but you do not have anyone to support you? Do you have a child or teen that is struggling to manage difficult emotions? These are the types of issues that my clients often present with during treatment and I partner with them to help them identify and appropriately express difficult emotions in a judgement free/safe environment.
My Background and Approach
I have been practicing in the Fredericksburg area since late 2009 and under my own license since 2010. I have a heart for people that traditionally do not think that therapy is for them and/or have complicated histories. It is my goal to listen and hear the stories of the children, teens, families, and adults that I serve and support using a person centered approach and nonjudgemental attitude. It is my desire to come along side you in this journey towards wellness and help you achieve your goals. I offer individual and family therapy, psychological testing, and business and life coaching.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a psychologist that is a Christian. Meaning that I only ethically integrate faith for individuals that desire to include their faith as part of their treatment. I have a positive attitude and beliefs towards the LGBTQ+ community and currently work with a number of people that are members of that community. I am a hetero-cisgender African American woman who treats all my clients with dignity and respect.
