About My Clients
My ideal client is someone who is ready to better understand themselves, overcome emotional challenges, and work toward meaningful change. I enjoy working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and substance use concerns.
My Background and Approach
I am a Limited Licensed Psychologist (TLLP) in the state of Michigan with advanced graduate training in clinical psychology. I earned Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the Michigan School of Psychology, and my Bachelor of Science in Addiction Studies from the University of Detroit Mercy. Under clinical supervision, I provide psychotherapy for adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use concerns, grief, and life transitions. My clinical approach is integrative and evidence-based, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Focused interventions. I am committed to culturally responsive care and have a strong focus on supporting diverse populations, including Arabic-speaking and Muslim clients. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can feel safe.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value providing care that is compassionate, respectful, and culturally responsive, with an emphasis on meeting clients where they are without judgment. I believe that healing happens through a strong therapeutic relationship, where clients feel safe, heard, and understood. I also believe in the importance of empowering individuals to build on their strengths and develop practical skills that support long-term emotional well-being. In my work, I am especially committed to reducing stigma around mental health within diverse communities and increasing access to care that is sensitive to cultural, spiritual, and family dynamics. I approach therapy with curiosity, openness, and a belief in each person’s capacity for growth and resilience. Outside of my clinical work, I value learning, community involvement, and staying connected to issues that impact mental health on a broader level. I am interested in continuing education and cultural advocacy.
