About My Clients
Everybody is an expert on their own lives, and I am here to help facilitate and work alongside you in accomplishing your goals. I believe in providing therapy that is client-focused and useful within real-life applications that fit your individual life. These goals can include managing transitions in life, navigating anxiety or depression, working on self-esteem, understanding ADHD, and a variety of other issues. I look forward to helping you to acquire the lifestyle you are reaching for.
My Background and Approach
I have experience providing individual, family, and group counseling services for adolescents and adults for the past 5 years within a variety of settings. At Compass Health, I worked with children ages 4-21 and their families throughout the Wraparound Intensive Service program for mental and behavioral health needs. This included one-on-one therapy, family therapy, and collaboration/connection with community resources and support. I worked within DCYF through case management positions focused on increasing mental health awareness, access, and support for teens and families- exclusively with indigenous children and families, providing culturally competent care and support. Before that, I worked alongside youth and adults with disabilities to increase their community inclusion and independence, ensuring a successful transition from school to work. I am innovative in creating accommodations, identifying needs, implementing individualized treatments, and advocating alongside my clients.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Life is difficult and being a human isn't easy. There are expectations, goals, navigating relationships and jobs, and somewhere in the weekly grind we have to find time to enjoy life and do things that we love. Everybody deserves joy, happiness, and to feel proud of their accomplishments, even if it's for something you may see as small, like showering for the day. Anxiety and ADHD used to cause me a lot of struggles in my day-to-day life as a teenager and I have learned how to understand myself, how to set myself up for success, and how to find the joy that I used to struggle to accept. I want everybody to be able to enjoy their passions, find their hobbies, and create a life they love. Being human is hard enough and every single person deserves joy and happiness in their life.
