About My Clients
I specialize in working with adolescents, young adults, young professionals, & millennials on concerns related to stress, anxiety, eating & body image, perfectionism, self-esteem & self-confidence, improving the quality of relationships, and balancing personal & professional lives.
My Background and Approach
We can find ourselves stuck in unhelpful and unproductive patterns despite trying our best to cope with more recent stressors and/or long-term concerns. We often feel lost when our lives or behaviors are not headed in the direction that we value. I aspire to build a collaborative alliance founded in authenticity and transparency, and together we can explore what brings meaning to your life. As a cognitive behavior and ACT therapist, my goal- and solution-oriented practice aims to help you create insight, explore shifts in perspective, and establish practical skills in order to reach your goals. I honor the courage it takes to reach out for extra support. Therapy is an investment of your time and energy; therefore, I offer a free 15-minute consultation to see if I would be a good fit for your needs. My telepsychology virtual practice is open to all living in California. Get to know me better by visiting my website or my Instagram @dr.parissa.nili
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I identify as a second-generation, Iranian American, womxn from Los Angeles, California. I also speak Farsi/Persian. It is so important to me to acknowledge each individual's intersecting identities and to evaluate how backgrounds influence what you are experiencing now. A therapist's job includes continuously evaluating our biases and beliefs in order to provide a safe, inclusive environment for clients. Personally, I vote because it is one way that I use my voice to work toward dismantling the systems that sustain and perpetuate oppression, marginalization, and trauma. I believe that Black lives matter, science is real, and survivors deserve to be believed. I welcome difficult conversations and questions as learning is continuous.
