About My Clients
I prioritize working with people who identify as trans, nonbinary, or LGBTQ+ and are seeking support to overcome adversity and stress. I know what it's like to feel valued, seen, and accepted by your provider, and I will aim to build a safe and supportive space for you in our work together. Our practice specializes in trauma-informed, social-justice centered, and cultural curious care. We will incorporate all facets of your identity into your healing journey to help you achieve thriving.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), who spent years working in social services for people in need prior to pursuing my social work degree. My approach centers on being nonjudgmental, empathic, and human centered. I am LGBTQ+-affirming, kink- and body-positive, and disability-informed. I am trained in a range of modalities including CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and somatic therapy. I ground my work in a trauma-informed lens, and support my clients in fostering healthy emotional regulation and resilience. I effectively leverages my own lived experiences to create a supportive and relatable therapeutic space for people overcoming adversity. I graduated from CUNY-Hunter with Master’s in Social Work in 2024. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I aim to foster a therapeutic space that is safe enough to discuss all facets of how our identity is shaped, inclusive of race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender, religion, and the expression of oppression and privilege. I will respect and incorporate your value systems and what is important to your sense of overall wellness into our work together. I am a trans woman, and disability-informed and I know first hand what it means to have a provider who you can relate to. Being an active and contributing member of the LGBTQ and social justice community is important to me as a therapist and human.
