About My Clients
Each pain is real, and at any moment we can find ourselves struggling and hurting in situations that we didn’t see coming or that we don’t feel prepared to handle. Whether you have experienced deep suffering, whether you are healing from a life-altering event or are only just beginning to struggle and are in search of little adjustments in your life, I would love to help you to discover how to heal from the inside out and how to escape your own prisons and enjoy the full, rich feast of life.
My Background and Approach
Through my years of formation as a doctorate in Clinical Psychology, I have worked with individuals, families, and groups of all ages, in both hospital and private practice settings. My approach as a bilingual therapist (English/Spanish) involves traditional psychodynamic therapeutic styles blended with attachment based and dialectical models to provide a therapeutic relationship that facilitate the accomplishment of your short and long term goals through a fulfilling life. I also incorporate elements of mind-body and meditation to help you to listen to your body as your main source to heal. My goal in therapy is to provide a safe, compassionate and non-judgmental environment that allows you to enhance your awareness and to gain the tools to find innovative and creative ways to choose freedom over failures and fears, freedom over anger and guilt, freedom over regret and unresolved grief.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about the possibilities that therapy can bring in someone’s life. As one of my favorite authors said “I live to guide others to a position of empowerment in the face of all life’s hardships.” (Edith Eva Eger, 2017), and that is my vocation. There is nothing I love more than hearing about the journey that my clients have been on and I’m so glad to witness how they’ve reached their full potential, healed and recovered from their battles in a journey of rediscovering their true-self. I’m also passionate about my family and enjoy travel with them around the world discovering new cultures and the creativity of the human kind. I love the beach as well as the fresh air of the mountains, as I grew up in a valley between the mountains and the Pacific ocean. I’m a yoga teacher and a mindfulness practitioner and incorporate their principles into my daily life.
