About My Clients
I work best with adults and young adults who are navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma, cultural or identity-related questions, or who feel like something is "off" but can’t quite put it into words. Many of my clients feel stuck between who they’ve been and who they want to become. I enjoy supporting first- and second-generation immigrants, bilingual individuals, and those managing the complexities of balancing different cultural identities.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from The City College of New York and have experience working in community mental health settings and private practice. I am EMDR-trained and integrate trauma-focused work with evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Schema Therapy, tailoring these tools to your unique needs and goals. Sessions with me blend insight, practical strategies, and warmth. My goal is not only to help you feel better in the moment, but to support you in healing unresolved experiences, shifting long-standing patterns, and building a life that feels grounded, meaningful, and truly yours.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that therapy is most effective when it feels like a real, human relationship — one built on trust, openness, and genuine curiosity. Outside of therapy, I enjoy exploring new cultures (I love to travel!), spending time with family and friends, and finding small moments of joy in everyday life. As a Latina therapist and a bilingual practitioner, I deeply value creating a space where all identities and experiences are welcomed. I strive to honor each client’s unique background and to support them in reconnecting with their strengths and sense of purpose.
