About My Clients
Becoming a parent can be a confusing and challenging time. For adults I provide parent guidance around developmental concerns and milestones such as sleep, toilet training, separation anxiety, and challenging behavior. I support those coping with fertility and loss, as well as perinatal depression and anxiety. For children, I offer parent-child therapy and individual play therapy to address trauma, behavioral issues as well as parenting concerns.
My Background and Approach
Pamela understands that early parenthood can be a tumultuous time with shifting responsibilities and adjusting to the needs of a baby or young child. Pamela focuses on each individual’s current circumstances, taking into consideration personal history, identity, life stage and environment. Pamela trained in Maternal Mental Health, Child Parent Psychotherapy, Motivational Interviewing, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and Trauma-Focused CBT.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have worked with individuals with a wide range of economic and cultural backgrounds, and continue to commit to orienting to the perspective and experience of those I work with. I believe in collaboration over giving advice, learning and problem solving together over having a fixed solution. I hope that my experience as a parent and therapist will provide a space for expanding your toolbox to achieve the well-being of you and your family.
