About My Clients
Have you tried therapy before but felt it didn't help? Are you anxious, depressed, or simply empty inside and not sure why? Do you experience internal conflict as you struggle to live in a way that aligns with your values? Do you want to see change in your relationships or to grow emotionally, mentally, or spiritually but just keep hitting a wall? I can help you find a path to healing that involves more than trying to change your behavior and addresses challenges from the inside out.
My Background and Approach
I believe healing is a journey that is unique to each individual and there is no one-size-fits all approach to therapy. I operate from a holistic mindset that addresses mind, body, emotions, and spirit as I believe these are all intrinsically intertwined. While learning coping skills and stress management is a valuable part of therapy, I also challenge my clients to go deeper and explore the roots of their challenges rather than simply managing symptoms. My approach is to help you connect with your true self as you heal as I believe you already have all the resources inside of you that you need. We will work on healing past trauma and identifying obstacles that get in the way of you living authentically from an undivided heart.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
While I am comfortable working with people of all beliefs and backgrounds, I specialize in Christian faith integration with clients. I have undergraduate training in theology in addition to a masters in clinical mental health counseling from Colorado Christian University. I work with many individuals who have been hurt by the church, as well as those who would like spiritual integration in their counseling process.
