About My Clients
My clients are often thoughtful, caring people who are used to showing up for everyone else. They may look capable on the outside while carrying anxiety, self-doubt, relationship struggles, grief, or the pressure to keep it all together. Some are navigating change or questioning what they want next. They are not looking for someone to tell them how to live; they want a space to feel understood, get curious about themselves, and discover what fits.
My Background and Approach
My background includes work in community-based settings, nonprofit leadership, and higher levels of mental health care, all of which shape how I understand people within the larger context of their relationships, communities, identities, and experiences. My approach is warm, collaborative, relational, and grounded in narrative therapy. Rather than assuming I am the expert on your life, I see therapy as a space where we get curious together about the stories, relationships, experiences, and expectations influencing how you see yourself and the world. I also draw from expressive and experiential approaches when helpful. I am engaged in the room: I will ask questions, notice patterns, offer reflections, gently challenge you, and laugh with you, too. Our work is not about “fixing” you. It is about creating enough space to understand what you are carrying, reconnect with what matters to you, and discover possibilities that may have been harder to see alone.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people make sense within the context of their stories, relationships, communities, and the things they have lived through. I believe there is rarely one “right” way to build a meaningful life, and I am less interested in telling you who you should be than in helping you discover what feels true and important to you. I value curiosity over judgment, connection over perfection, and making room for complexity rather than rushing toward easy answers. I also believe therapy can hold both depth and humor. You can be struggling and still laugh; you can be grateful and still want something to change. Above all, I believe you deserve a space where you do not have to perform, take care of anyone else, or have everything figured out before you walk through the door.
