I am a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) and use a variety of evidenced-based play therapy techniques with my younger clients. Play therapy sessions look a little different from your typical therapy session - this is intentional in order to create a safe environment for younger clients and give space for a more non-directive approach to therapy. I have helped my younger clients work through grief, anxiety, and trauma(s) in this way and would love to connect and see if I could help support yours.

I have worked as a trauma-trained/trauma-informed therapist for almost ten years - It is the basis of my practice. I have received trainings in EMDR, TF-CBT, and am well-versed in polyvagal theory to provide a holistic healing approach to trauma care. I specialize in perinatal trauma and have worked extensively with child trauma as well. With trauma work, it is important to remember YOU are always the one in control of your treatment, so I am intentional about holding space in tandem with you.

I have been EMDR trained and use this modality in my practice frequently - EMDR not only helps to “unstick” and desensitize past traumatic memories, but it also helps us make more sense of our experiences and accompanying thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I aid in this process by guiding my clients through creating a target list of traumas to address and helping them desensitize themselves to them via bilateral stimulation.

I specialize in working with pre and post partum women - I am certified in perinatal mental health and currently hold my PMH-C. Each phase of motherhood comes with a unique set of challenges and feelings. Most women experience these feelings and while it’s not often talked about - you won’t have to face them alone.
