About My Clients
Much of my experience has been working with young adults navigating their way through life while managing their mental health symptoms, substance use, and ongoing recovery. I am particularly passionate about working with the LGBTQ+ population, and also in supporting people as they explore and develop their identities. If you are feeling stuck or unsure of where to go next and looking to explore ways to make changes in your life, I am here to help!
My Background and Approach
I believe in a holistic approach to therapy—in other words, treating the whole person rather than fragmenting someone into parts. This approach involves meeting my clients where they’re at, focusing on the therapeutic relationship, and working together to create realistic goals. I am empathetic, direct, and keep it real while maintaining compassion. Most importantly, I believe that therapy can (and should) be fun! I pride myself in creating a therapeutic space where my clients can work on the hard stuff, but also take space to laugh and just be human.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a strong advocate for social justice, both in my personal life and in my professional practice--in fact, this is one of my primary reasons for becoming a therapist, and is why I love to do what I do!
