About My Clients
Have you been in therapy a while and looking for something different that CBT and coping skills? I use a holistic, person-centered approach to listen and validate your experience while also providing gentle feedback to insight real and lasting change. Lets tackle that complex grief, PTSD, Bipolar, BPD, or heal that anxious/avoidant attachment style to help promote healthy communication and relationships.
My Background and Approach
Different clients need different approaches, I'm well versed in solution-focused (short term), CBT/DBT, Narrative, and ACT. I incorporate somatic tools for calming and ensuring a safe space when processing hard things. I've worked with sex offenders and SA survivors, trauma survivors, and complex family challenges. Lets establish healthy boundaries that honor your values and help strengthen relationships while also building positive self-esteem and self-worth. The outward behavior changes often start with healing that younger version of yourself.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm a married queer cis woman, married to a transman. I are passionate about LGBTQIA+ topics, social justice and advocacy, and putting pressure on systems that continue to oppress vulnerable populations. In a climate that is scary for many populations, I believe community and support systems make a huge positive impact on our everyday lives. Additionally, I am a HUGE South Carolina Gamecock fan living in a sea of bull dawgs.
