My Background and Approach
My name is Orianna Torres, LMHC, dedicated to helping children, teens, and their families navigate life’s challenges. For the past six years, I have worked closely with young individuals, providing them with the tools to build confidence, resilience, and emotional well-being. I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Florida International University and had the incredible opportunity to work alongside renowned experts in the field of psychology, including Dr. Paulo Graziano and Dr. Jami Furr. These experiences shaped my approach and deepened my passion for empowering children and supporting parents. Bright Minds was born from my deep passion for empowering young minds to thrive. Growing up in today’s world is more challenging than ever—constant changes, high expectations, and the pressures of modern life can feel overwhelming. For children and teens, putting emotions into words isn’t always easy. That’s where I come in—to be their voice
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value hard work and consistency because I truly believe that everyone has the ability to grow and change at any point in their lives. I see mental health challenges as learned, sometimes maladaptive behaviors, but I also know that you are capable of recognizing them and making choices to change. When I was younger, I struggled with anxiety, health anxiety, and panic attacks. Therapy gave me the tools, understanding, and support I needed to navigate those challenges and regain control of my life. As a professional dancer, these skills also helped me manage pressure and perform with confidence. I believe in the power of therapy to help children, teens, and adults find the same sense of understanding and freedom in their lives.
