About My Clients
I work with people navigating trauma, identity, and life’s pivotal moments- those feeling untethered by loss, wrestling with who they’re becoming, or carrying histories that shaped them in complex ways. My clients are often immigrants, LGBTQ+ folks, survivors reclaiming their narratives, parents finding their way, neurodivergent individuals honoring their wholeness, and anyone holding intersecting identities while seeking belonging.
My Background and Approach
I’m a master’s student at the University of Denver studying psychology with a focus on trauma and global mental health, and I bring both clinical training and lived experience to our work together. My approach is shaped by years of walking alongside people through their most tender and transformative moments. I draw on psychodynamic, person-centered, existential, and Internal Family Systems frameworks, as well as somatic approaches and evidence-based modalities such as CBT and TF-CBT. What this means for you: I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. Instead, I meet you where you are and adapt my approach to what your unique story calls for. I specialize in attachment and developmental trauma, intersecting marginalized identities, neurodiversity, parenting challenges, cultural assimilation, grief, spirituality, and women's and queer mental health. I offer trauma-informed, culturally humble, and queer-affirming care because you deserve a space where all of you belong.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing happens in relationship with ourselves, each other, and the world around us. As a queer woman of color, I know firsthand what it means to navigate spaces that weren’t built with you in mind, to carry histories of displacement and resilience, and to constantly translate between worlds. These experiences aren’t separate from my work; they inform how I show up with cultural humility, anti-oppressive values, and a commitment to making therapy accessible and affirming for marginalized communities. I’m deeply invested in social justice, particularly around LGBTQ+ rights, racial equity, and decolonizing mental health care. I’m passionate about dismantling systems that pathologize difference and instead honoring the wisdom in survival, adaptation, and resistance. Outside the therapy room, I’m drawn to community care, spirituality, and rituals rooted in ancestral wisdom, and conversations about what it means to live authentically in a world that often asks us to shrink.
