About My Clients
My approach to therapy is a strengths-based, client-centered, culturally sensitive, holistic approach while utilizing Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused, Interpersonal, and Mindfulness approach. I believe that therapy should be a collaborative partnership in which we work together to help you achieve your therapeutic goals.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is a strengths-based, client-centered, culturally sensitive, holistic approach while utilizing Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused, Interpersonal, and Mindfulness approach. I believe that therapy should be a collaborative partnership in which we work together to help you achieve the goals you have set for therapy. I have a Ph.D. in Education from Northcentral University, a Master’s degree in Social Work from Silberman School of Social Work, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Brooklyn College. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of New York and Ohio. I provide individual, couple, and family therapy sessions to adults and adolescents in New York, and e-therapy (live video) sessions in the State of New York and Ohio. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and a Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapist.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a firm believer that therapy should take place in an environment that is safe, strengths-based, non-judgmental, and culturally sensitive. Just like a butterfly transforms and emerges as a butterfly, through counseling, I believe that my clients will transform into the person they want to be.
