About My Clients
You may look like you have it all together while feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in your own head. Maybe you overthink, replay conversations, struggle with confidence, relationships, boundaries, or navigating life changes. I especially enjoy working with individuals experiencing anxiety and social anxiety, as well as those used to pushing through things alone. I also welcome veterans, service members, and military-connected individuals who value someone familiar with military culture.
My Background and Approach
I’m an Associate Professional Counselor with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My approach is grounded primarily in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while incorporating techniques from other evidence-based approaches based on each client’s individual needs, personality, and goals. I believe therapy works best when it is collaborative, so I don’t see my role as telling you how to live your life. Instead, we’ll work together to understand what you’re experiencing, consider different perspectives, and find tools that make sense for you. Before becoming a counselor, I served in the U.S. Army, an experience that shaped my understanding of resilience, identity, transition, and the pressure to keep going even when things are difficult. I bring that perspective alongside my clinical training to create a space that is supportive, genuine, and down-to-earth. My goal is for you to feel like you’re talking with a real person who is invested in understanding you.
