About My Clients
If you are an individual or couple experiencing issues related to sex, traditional gender roles, desire, grief, or self image, I would be honored to support you in building the life you want. Perhaps you and your partner struggle with communication related to sex, life transitions or stressors, or experience unhelpful relationship dynamics. Individually, you may want to explore your sexual identity, process grief and loss, unpack past traumas or family patterns, or improve your self esteem.
My Background and Approach
I am passionate about supporting you as you navigate life changes such as marriage and new partnership, divorce/separation, opening up, career changes, pregnancy, and empty nesting. Together, we will explore and acknowledge the intersections of mental wellbeing and the impact of societal structures using a social justice lens. I am committed to lifelong learning and continue to enrich my work by attending ongoing education and trainings in areas like somatic practice, trauma modalities, dignity and empowerment-based frameworks, and am a Prepare/Enrich certified facilitator for premarital work. As a queer person, I understand the importance of being seen, honored, and affirmed for exactly who you are. As a practitioner, I bring in my own lived experiences to meet you with collaboration, curiosity, and warmth. I understand deeply the presence and pressures of cultural, systemic expectations and conditioning and the impact of this on your experience of wellbeing and functioning.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Compassion and celebration of all parts and a genuine belief in the human ability to grow are at the center of my approach. Whatever your concerns may be, feel free to reach out for a complimentary 15 minute phone consultation to see if we may be a fit. And even if I'm not the right therapist for you, I'll recommend someone who is.
