About My Clients
Do you often find yourself shutting down emotionally rather than opening up, working hard to appear fine when you’re not? Do you want to learn how to tolerate distressing emotions and feel comfortable within your own mind? Are you a woman or young adult trying to navigate a heavy change to your life? Reaching out for therapy is an act of hopefulness, but it can feel overwhelming and vulnerable too. I know how important it is to feel truly seen and supported as you are sharing your story.
My Background and Approach
I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT) approaches in therapy sessions. These approaches are focused on helping you to build a life worth living and sharing with others by developing skills, working through internal beliefs, and changing the patterns that you are struggling with. We will look at your life wholistically in order to see the bigger picture, which helps us to direct our work together and look at what is going on underneath your day-to-day challenges.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Making genuine, meaningful connections with others is very important to me, and I feel it is vital that everyone has a place to heal, grow, and learn. It is interesting to look at all the ways that biological, psychological, sociological, and spiritual factors impact our lives, and I approach therapy through that wholistic lens. I enjoy connecting with people from all walks of life, and I believe that I have something to learn from each person that I interact with.
