About My Clients
I'm all about connecting with a diverse bunch! From kids to adults, including those tricky adolescent years, I'm here for it. I've got a soft spot for the school environment, I can either be a place to vent/seek guidance or help to increase emotional intelligence. I also love helping individuals deal with and develop healthy coping skills for trauma, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and even those moments when reality gets a little wobbly with psychosis or severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI).
My Background and Approach
At my core, I'm all about giving you the tools to tackle life's twists and turns with confidence. I'm real and down-to-earth in sessions and will hold you accountable where it's needed. Drawing from my understanding of societal influences, family dynamics, and personal histories, I aim to provide holistic support that considers both external factors and internal dynamics. I've spent a lot of time diving into child development, so whether you're a kid struggling with emotions or a parent looking for tips, I've got your back. My experience in the mental health field has taught me a lot about childhood trauma, psychosis, and neurodivergence, and how exercise, consistency, and support can greatly improve those areas. Think strengths-based vibes mixed with a good dose of humor and humility. I'm all about making therapy a comfy space where you can be yourself and feel heard. Let's work together to make life a little less overwhelming and a lot more manageable!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I truly believe that the connection between therapist and client is key, so let me share a bit more about who I am outside of the therapy room. I'm a summer-loving, volleyball-playing dog parent who finds solace in nature and enjoys trying new food/drinks with friends. I enjoy diving into books/movies/podcasts about personality styles, human behavior, and the inner workings of the brain. As someone who values independence and personal growth, I'm committed to empowering others to embrace their unique journey and discover their inner strength. On a personal level, I'm actively working on understanding my own attachment style, honing coping skills for ADHD, and navigating the path to overcoming anxiety. I believe in meeting people where they are, supporting them in their journey, and celebrating every step of progress along the way. If where you're at does not include meeting in person, let's meet over Zoom!!
