I am especially passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ clients, young adults, college students, and athletes. My goal is to provide a compassionate, affirming, and collaborative space where clients feel understood, empowered, and supported as they navigate challenges and create meaningful change.

My Background and Approach

I am Olivia Ealim, a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern at Carter Cares Marriage and Family Therapy PLLC and currently pursuing my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and bring experience supporting individuals through academic, personal, and emotional challenges. My background includes working with collegiate athletes and researching the impact of trauma and adversity, which has deepened my passion for helping clients navigate life’s challenges with compassion and resilience. I am also expanding my clinical training in trauma and grief to better support clients through difficult experiences. I specialize in working with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, life transitions, identity exploration, self-esteem, and personal growth. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, affirming, and client-centered, focusing on helping clients gain insight, and build coping skills.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy is a space where every person deserves to feel seen, respected, and valued for who they are. My approach is rooted in empathy, cultural humility, and the belief that our identities, relationships, and lived experiences shape the way we understand ourselves and the world around us. I am passionate about providing affirming care to diverse communities, including LGBTQ+ individuals and relationships, and creating an environment where clients can feel safe exploring their authentic selves without judgment. I value equity, inclusion, and accessibility in mental health care and believe everyone deserves support regardless of their background or circumstances. Beyond my clinical work, I am committed to lifelong learning and advocacy within the mental health field. I strive to continue growing as a therapist while supporting clients in building self-awareness, resilience, healthier relationships, and a stronger sense of self.
